2010 New Castle Memories Car Show

Went out to shoot the 2010 Memories car show here in downtown New Castle on Sunday, 8/29/10. Before I go into details about it, I should say that I really am lucky to be living where I am in many ways. While not a bastion of urban style or trendiness, we do have easy access [...]
New Castle Cruise Night 7/2/10

Attended the second night of the New Castle Cruise Nights this past weekend. Held in downtown New Castle, 7/1/10 – 7/2/10, this event ran concurrant to the Back To The 50′s show that was also taking place in town at Cascade Park. Many cars present I saw at both events, and from talking to some [...]
RiverWalk Cruise Night 6/25/10

Went to the New Castle RiverWalk Cruise night last Friday. These are a regular cruise here in town every Friday from 5p-9p. They started out rather small, but now are getting upwards of 80 cars per cruise and things seem to be gaining pace still. Many fine folks there and some very nice local rides [...]
2010 Pittsburgh International Auto Show Pt. 3 (Final)

This is it – the last update for the 2010 Pittsburgh International Auto Show. This year I tried a different take on shooting it in that I mainly shot the mfgs’ feature vehicles instead of just walking around and shooting only whatever caught my eye. I did shoot some cars I just liked of course, [...]
2010 Pittsburgh International Auto Show Pt. 2

Next batch of photos is up, click to view the updated gallery. Acura, Hyundai, and Mercedes in today’s group, and the featured car for this post is Acura’s new ZDX crossover. More to come!
2010 Pittsburgh International Auto Show Pt. 1

Posting the first batch of photos from the Pittsburgh International Auto Show tonight. Spent about 4 hrs there total and produced just over 100 photos once the finals edits are done. The show itself was fairly decent, though there really weren’t any cars that stood out in my mind as exceptional; a few new models [...]
2010 Pittsburgh International Auto Show

It’s that time again. Got my gear all packed up and ready to go, here’s hoping the weather will be kind enough to actually let me get there. I’ve shot this for the past two years, though we’ve been going on and off since we got here in 2004. Last year’s was a bit disappointing [...]
Pittsburgh World Of Wheels Show Pt. 5 (Final)

That’s it, it’s done! All photos from the ’10 Pittsburgh World Of Wheels show have been posted. Response has been great and they’ve received quite a large number of views. Overall it was a good experience and I look forward to shooting it next year and years to come. What’s next after this? Back at [...]
Pittsburgh World Of Wheels Pt. 4

Just finished uploading the latest batch of photos from the show, the gallery is this way. At this rate, all the photos should be up by the weekend. I’d edit them faster, but I’ve got other things eating up my time at the moment, and these were taken for pleasure as opposed to a paid [...]
And So It Continues . . .

Next batch of World Of Wheels photos have been posted for your enjoyment, the gallery is here. Today’s highlights are of some classic rail cars on disply from Garlits, Prudhomme, and Kalitta. Very cool, but very scary too. Take a look at the cockpit shot posted below. Notice that the diff case is sitting right under [...]
Pittsburgh World Of Wheels Pt. 2

Just finished editing the next batch of photos from the 2010 Pittsburgh World Of Wheels auto show. You can view the full gallery here, but for a quick fix here are some more favorites from today’s edits. First up is the Copper Bandit, a ’67 Plymouth Belvedere GTX owned by Mr. Frank Challinor. Sporting a [...]
2010 Pittsburgh World Of Wheels Show

Went out to go shoot the ’10 Pittsburgh World Of Wheels classic/custom auto show on Friday afternoon and evening. I had planned to go for sometime now, so I grabbed my gear and headed out to the David Lawrence Center in downtown Pittsburgh where it was held. The doors opened at 3p, so I made [...]
Grand Finale

Completed the shots of the final round of the ’09 Lawrence County Fair demolition derby tonight. Since it was really just a “best of show” type round amongst the finalists from the prior rounds, the car count was fairly low and the action not as intense overall. Still, a few good hits here and there, [...]
It’s A Chebby!

Here’s a new photo from the 2009 Back To The 50′s show I shot back in the summer. Nice classic Impala, and very clean.
Round 3

Going through my backlog tonight and finished up Round 3 from the Lawrence County Fair demolition derby. This round featured full-sized cars as the main contestants and as a result the hits were harder and the action more frantic. Rounds 4 and 5 were the “playoffs” so to speak, so the cars were fewer and [...]
Late, But Not Forgotten

Finally got a chance to cull through some of my remaining shots from last month’s New Castle Cruise Night on 6/5. Most of the interesting ones I posted earlier, but here’s a run of 3/4 snaps from the night as well. Not art, but fun to look at nonetheless.
