Today is a bit of a combo post of sorts – two days’ worth of shooting into one lump, for convenience sake of course!
Day before yesterday went out with the fam for a walk near the house because it was beautiful outside. Turned out to be portrait day as I took a number of quicky portraits of the wife and Ape. Very nice considering they were taken with no equipment other than the E-420, and it was mid-day and the light was absolutely brutal. Just goes to show what you can do with a little thought behind it, though.
Also, took this because I liked the way the sunlight was coming through a nearby tree after taking the last two shots.
Continuing on the theme of gorgeous weather, yesterday was even better than the day before, so naturally we had to get out of the house to avoid going crazy and get the Ape some much needed playtime. This time we went to Ohio as there’s a great city park there with an awesome playground setup that the Ape loves (Boardman Park). The sun was brutal again, so mostly just snaps for ourselves, but later that evening we headed over to Mill Creek State Park since we were still in the area, and that led to these wonderful shots from the marshes there bathed in the sunset’s light.
